TOMBQUEST

3. The Creature

Abun Ke, having chosen the Ash Door, travelled at a steady pace in order to gather as much information about the tomb. The walls were covered in hieroglyphics, and strangely they were all pointing towards the ceiling, as if they wanted Abun Ke to look up. Abun Ke noticed that Hathor wasn't following her.

There was a door in the ceiling, with a ladder dangling down, to the sandy floor. Abun Ke started to climb the ladder, It seemed to take forever. Although after about five minutes, she reached the top. To find a ghostly like creature.

A strange feeling ran through Abun Ke's spine. This had often happened, when there was danger around. Abun Ke turned all her attention towards the ghostly creature. It was white with red eyes and spoke in a calm heavy voice. "Are you looking for this?" and he held out the Ankh. Abun Ke reached out for it but missed. The creature transferred it back to the neck of Kufu. She took a step back, and noticed Hathor staring at her, "Hathor!" cried Abun Ke "There you are, help me defeat this creature its protecting the Ankh." Hathor was holding a map in his hand, but Abun Ke did not notice. "Lith " spoke Hathor "I knew you had the Ankh" "You finally realised that, and who's your little friend?" said Lith. "Abun Ke, and she is here to retrieve the Ankh" answered Hathor, "Well, I better be going, I will be seeing you around Abun Ke. You will never defeat me!" called Lith and travelled through the door.

"I think I shall come with you for the rest of this journey, and when I was away, I managed to find this map" Hathor held it out to Abun Ke. "Thankyou, I will use it in my quest to find the Ankh" said Abun Ke.

With that Hathor and Abun Ke walked and talked about the strange things that had been happening to each of them, until they came to four passage ways, but which way should they choose. "
