Metaphor Poems

The Alien

He's a gigantic box of
Honey nut shredded wheat,
A box you can put your shoes in.
He is, He is, He is

His eyes are huge and brightly coloured
Dotted snooker-balls,
A snowy bright green and yellow
Huge, gigantic Christmas tree.
He is, He is, He is

A dark and gloomy, cold and wet
Blustery day,
A small red, slippery, wet, wide fitted climbing frame.
He is, He is, He is

Soft, shiny and gooey
A large pot of Radox super soap.
His nose is a multi -coloured
Striped witch's nose
He is, He is, He is

A mean, horrible, wicked Alien.

Metaphor Poems

Sherry the dog

She's a light all bright,
..... A sparkly diamond,
..... A muddy,
..... A curtain bright and bold.

She's a green and blue ice-cream,
..... A fast sports car zooming down the road,
..... A glittery firework,
..... An expensive piano.

She's mine,
..... A mind,
..... The mind of me,

She's heaven in the sky.
