Choir Concert

On Thursday 26th, Wallerscote school and two more schools, came in to high school to do the high school music festival. We sang 'Oliver Twist' and these were the songs that we sang 'Food Glorious Food', 'Consider Yourself', 'Oom Pah Pah'. Then the whole high school music festival got together and sang a 'Grease Medley'. But before we did our part we had to listen to their music and songs, ours was after the break. I was so excited but once I got on the stage I was nervous, when we started singing I noticed it wasn't that bad, then I thought it was fun. At the ends of the songs people clapped and that made me smile.

Choir Concert

On Thursday 26th April,Sandiway Primary School,Wallerscote School and Whitley School took part in a choir concert at Weaverham High School. We performed an 'Oliver' musical and after all the schools took part in a 'Grease Medley'. Sandiway School performed first and they were good. One of the songs was a Southampton Football Club chant! Sandiway were quite loud and I enjoyed the football song most. After the schools sang, the High School sang. Next, were Whitley and they were quiet. Their songs were good. After the interval, when we had juice and a lolly we sung 'Food, Glorious Food,' 'Consider Yourself' and 'Oom Pah Pah.' After everyone sung, everyone clapped very loud and it lasted for almost 4 minutes! While I sang, my hands were sweating and I couldn't stop smiling when they clapped. It was a super experience.
On Thursday 26th April, I went to the Weaverham High School Music Festival to do the choir. I felt nervous but then I saw all the parents and I did not fell nervous any more because I thought in my head, that they were just normal people listening to me sing. When I sang 'Oom Pah Pah' everybody laughed at us when we were going side to side. We all sang 'Oom Pah Pah', 'Food, Glorious Food' and 'Consider Yourself' We all sang a 'Grease Medley' song at the end. We sang 'Oliver' songs - I couldn't stop smiling. When we finished each song we had a massive clap compared to the others.

High School Music Festival

Last night we went to the high school to perform our songs from the musical 'Oliver.' we sang 'Food Glorious Food', 'Consider Yourself' and 'Oom Pah Pah.' I got a lot out of this musical- like not being nervous and not feeling the tension anymore, it's like a heavy weight being lifted off my shoulders. There were also other schools there - Sandiway and Whitley. I would say that it was the best night of my life. At first it was nerve- wracking but all you have to do is sing your heart out and do your best. Don't be afraid to join the choir it's fun especially when Mrs Worthington and Miss Yarwood are in tow!

People from High School also took part. We were on last of all, but we did get into a good experience and I am glad I did. I want to do it again. We got all of the words right except some of 'Oom-Pah-Pah' words. We made our audience laugh! It made my mouth ache because I was smiling so much, at the end we all got together and sang a 'Grease Medley' after that we listened to Mr. Charlton say his speech. I felt absolutely amazing and I and my family were proud of me. Thanks to the teachers for putting all your effort into us enjoying a night out at High School. We made the night better by making them all laugh. If you can do that you can do anything all my nerves are out of my way.

High School Music Festival

Yesterday, at the Weaverham High School, I was in the choir. After the break, the High School sang a song. Then it was time for the Wallerscote choir to sing. We sang 'Food, Glorious Food, 'Consider Yourself' and 'Oom Pah Pah.' Abby needed to help me up and down the stairs on the stage. I felt a bit nervous but when I started singing I soon got used to it. What I really liked about it was when everybody cheered for us because it made me smile. I even liked it when we were doing the actions. I thought it made it more interesting. I learned that I should not worry and I should get on stage and do my very best.
