Super display in the museum.

The Manchester United honours board - Jonathan isn't impressed.

All the past players.

Old Trafford Trip
On Monday night I was really excited, I had never been to Old Trafford before, there were 52 students and 4 teachers going. On the day I almost missed the bus because I woke up late. When we got on the bus I sat next to Scott (my friend.) The driver Graham had to go slower because of the fog,we were about 10 to 20 minutes late. First we went with Tom (the trainer) to The Cliff Training Stadium. Until a year ago players like David Beckham and Ole Gunner Solskjear trained here it still has their name places were they would park their cars. We were split into 8 groups these were, blue, red, orange, black, green, sky blue, lime and yellow. I was in the orange teem with Matthew Stott, Jordan Blackshaw, Patrick Kelly,Ashley Cheadle and Sammy Green, I was in goals once and I was saving them all until Mr. Spendel said he was going to take a picture of me and when he did I let it in !!! [Photo] Oh I felt dead embarrased he took it when I missed it and it was a poor attempt to save it, I only stuck my leg out. We were playing on astroturf,we played 3 or 4 games then had a break, we played 7 games altogether. After we got changed we had lunch on the bus, and set off for Old Trafford. Tom lead us round through the museum we went in the trophies room and we saw all the people who died in the plane crash. Then we went into this computer room you could see everything about your favourite football player that has ever been in man united. In that room we left Tom and went with Ian , he took us around the famous pitch he told us it had been 24 years since Manchester City has won a cup (he he he we all support man united) (don't we?)We also went into the room were the players eat. Did you know two players eat something special the first on is, David Beckham eats only breakfast cereal on a match day. The other one is Roy Keane he only eats beans for his dinner on a match day and that only Man United are the only team to get to number one in the charts, with Glory,Glory Man united. Next we went into the teams locker room for the team we saw the jacuzzi after the match the team relax in the jacuzzi. We saw their warming up room and there is on player who likes the warming up room more than playing a match that person is Andy Cole !!! We went through the tunnel and found out both teams come out at the same time because if they didn't one side would cheer and the other side would boo!!! so if they both come out at the same time the whole of the fans cheer !!!!!!! They have got special equipment for the deaf, the blind and people in wheelchairs now. Finally the place I wanted to come to most the Megastore there were so many souvenirs at reasonable prices. I bought a large orange football for my brother because its his birthday soon (size 5 if you wanted to now)at £5. Something for me!! I bought a teddy of ÔFred the red Devil' for £5. Just before we went I bought a large Pepsi cola at 90p. On the way home it was much quicker because the fog had gone. Tom (the trainer) came back on the bus with us. We arrived home at 4:20 pm and went home. I am still excited now because I can say I've been to one of the most famous football clubs in the world!!!!!

Our Trip to Old Trafford

When our class found out about the trip to Old Trafford, everyone was excited. There were 50 children aloud to go. The trip cost £10. Most people brought the money next day. About a week before the trip I could not remember what date we were going on. The trip crept up on me quite quickly. On the day everyone was excited. Plus one of my friends who had been off for a week came back. He still came on the trip though. We went inside had registration and got on the bus. I used some of the film in my camera on the way. Eventually we arrived at our first destination: The Cliff Training Ground. When we went in we got changed and went out onto the astro turf. One of our teachers called Mr Hughes picked 8 teams. Mine was team 6 the blacks. We had 7 matches to play. We played the first match and won.
[Photo] Then we took a break. We played our next 5 matches in a row, not losing one. We then took our next break. Next we played our final game and again we won. We got dressed then got back on the coach. Our next stop was Old Trafford. Finally we arrived at the stadium. As we went into the museum we saw all the trophies. There were loads of them. We we even had a go at commentating. Eventually our guide Tom left us with our new guide Earn. We visited these places: Changing rooms, players lounge, dining room and the ground. Next we went to the Megastore, I bought a football, 2 badges and 2 keyrings all for five pounds. Then we got on the bus and arrived home at about 10 past 4. I really enjoyed the trip. Probably the best bit was the football. The trip to the stadium it made you realise just how small some stadiums are when, you compare them to Man United's. Even supporters of other teams enjoyed it. by Richard Lloyd

Manchester United Trip

Yesterday, Tuesday, we went to Old Trafford and to tell you the truth, it was fantastic! We had to arrive at school at 8:45 and be in the hall on the dot. The register was taken and we all went to the loo before setting of on the coach. Finally, the coach arrived and we coupled up in twos. On the journey the fog was so bad that we arrived at the Cliff Manchester United training ground twenty minutes late! We had a trainer called Tom, he was great! He took us round to the inside of the ground to have a game of footie. I played with my team about five games in a row, I was really tired so I could imagine how a real footballer felt playing a ninety minute game. In the Cliff, there was a balcony overlooking the inside training ground, we went up there and Tom said it was at least twenty feet high. It made me feel sick with the height! When we had finished the seven football matches we headed over to the Man U football stadium whilst eating our lunch. The stadium was absolutely massive! When we had got of the coach and explored the museum ( the museum was brilliant , it was about football and its history) we went and sat on the chairs that the supporters sat on while watching a match. Another man, Ian, took us on a tour all the way round the stadium. Loads of questions were asked! We even went into the footballers changing rooms and special places like that! After the tour, which was amazing, we headed off to the megastore. We were aloud to buy anything with the money we had. I brought five pounds which was plenty. I bought a Manchester United note pad, two pencils, a rubber, pencil sharpener, and a ruler all in one set. I bought a sherbet pair of football legs for myself and my brother as well. After 15 minutes we were on our way back to Weaverham. It was the end of our day.

Manchester United trip
On Tuesday morning nearly everybody in y5 and y6 were exited for we were about to embark on a trip to the home of the biggest and richest club and(in my opinion)the best and most successful team. Unfortunately the team were in Valencia for the big match (including my hero since i was born, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.)We started off with the toilets and registration and we then got on the bus. When we arrived we got off the bus had a little talk with Tom then went in the changing rooms. On the astro turf we were picked into 8 teams,I was in the lime green group we rested first. I scored 16 goals all together which meant i got about 4 in each match . We went on a tour with a man called Ian but first we went in the trophy room the European cup was in the very middle of the room that was amazing!. of that room there was a little room dedicated to the Busby babes who the papers said they were the best team in the whole world at the time which was 1958. The stadium was massive and on the tour the guide told us it was 24 years since Manchester City won a cup and everybody pointed and laughed like mad at this boy Glyn Chadwick who in the games wore a city kit and at the time was wearing a city coat and on the way back some people(including me ) were singing 24 years since city won the cup 24 years since city won the cup! and it was really funny. The amazing thing about Old trafford home of the Manchester United football club you can get Married !!!!!! at the end of the day we went to the megastore which is outstandingly big like a Cash and Carry all on Manchester United goods I bought (you could probably guess) a Solskjaer Picture some ground training cones with Manchester United logo's on and a pepsi and we got two free pictures I had Giggs (another hero of mine) and Roy Keane (captain) On the bus me and Matthew talked and we looked at what we got he got some cones and a Manchester United football and we arrived home at about 20 past 4 and I said to Matthew I wish we had a remote control for the day I would press rewind because the day and Atmosphere was outstandingly brilliant just as I expected. As soon as i got home because I did my Home work the night before I went and played football and that night i did the whole day exactly the same all over again in my dreams At the end of the Games when Tom said it is time to go to the museum I thought oh no this wont be that good but in fact the whole day was equally brilliant.
